The SLC logo and backstamp...

The SLC meets a couple of times a year at different, interesting and varied locations throughout the UK.  It gives 'Slunchers' the opportunity to have a pleasant lunch in attractive surroundings and enables fellow enthusiasts to swap, trade, sell, buy and catch up on Golly related talk.

6th NOVEMBER 2005 - issue 34

This happy little chap has been collecting money at the SLCs for quite a while - raffles and auctions have helped him fill his tin. Find out how well he's doing on the CHARITY page.

Here she is - the blue scarf SLC Waitress. Every badge comes boxed, is individually numbered and has the unique SLC backstamp. 50 Waitress badges have been specially made for the SLC12.

Have you seen this Golly before?

The next SLC has a blue Waitress...

Advance ticket sales proved to be very popular and Slunchers were eager to get hold their latest Waitress badges. The snack-pack lunches were handed out and Yvonne sold an extra book of raffle tickets. Support was overwhelming, the SLC and donated prizes were very soon snapped up - Ron Copper did very well !

Advance SLC11 tickets SELL OUT!

Generous support for the raffle - as always

The Quorn 'badge' Hunt

The first and last SLC of 2005 was hailed as another great success for the GBC. Quorn was the ideal venue - conveniently located and straight forward to find. Although it was a local SLC for many of the members, quite a few Slunchers traveled from further afield and took the opportunity to lift-share, making their journeys seem shorter and much more enjoyable.
As well as renewing old aquaintances several first time Slunchers were met with a warm welcome and although it was a busy swapmeet we all got to talk while we drank, ate our prawn cocktail, roast chicken, roast beef and had a chocolate pudding -  Okay so it was a choice of crisps and a Kitkat!
